Welcome to the second I.S.U. on geometry. You will be learning on your own about the properties and relationships of angles, lines, and polygons.
To do well on the I. S. U. test in December, it is important that you view all math videos, take good notes, read all posted ebook examples, do all listed exercises, and complete every single online quizzes. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact me via the contact page which will forward your inquiry to my personal email account. You must also attend the after school tutorial classes to get prepared for the test. Good Luck! |
Independent Study Unit #2 - Geometry
After completing this online geometry unit, you should be able to:
- identify and apply angle properties of intersecting and parallel lines.
- classify various regular and irregular polygons
(Triangles e.g. scalene, isosceles, and equilateral triangles, and quadrilaterals e.g. square and rhombus)
- determine, through investigation, the angle properties and relationships of various polygons.
(Polygons e.g. triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, octagons and other polygons)
- describe the angle properties and relationships of various polygons.
- determine, through investigation, other properites and relationships of various polygons.
(Properties e.g. diagonal properties of quadrilaterals, and midsegments of triangles and quadrilaterals)
- describe other properties and relationships of various polygons.
- solve problems involving various properties and relationships of polygons.
